TV Now Has Holograms
Great way to introduce all the new tech to the masses during an election, Star Wars here we come! Don’t even get me started on Obama.
“CNN is cool. In addition to the huge touchscreen “Magic Wall”
(which was originally military technology), CNN’s Wolf Blitzer gets to play with Holograms today during their coverage of the presidential elections.
CNN’s Jessica Yellin
is the guinea pig, appearing virtually with Blitzer.
I have no idea why Yellin doesn’t just go to the studio instead of being wherever she is, or why they don’t just point a camera at her and bring her into the story in the normal way, and I don’t care. They have a hologram, and if I wasn’t getting on a plane in twenty minutes I’d be watching CNN the rest of the evening.”

Update on the fact that this was more clever camera tech rather than full blown 3D projected Holograms, now why would you try trick us CNN? LOL

RealFiction’s Dreamoc 3D/Holographic Display
Retailers may be having a tough time moving inventory, but they’re not using a Dreamoc to advertise. RealFiction’s latest blend of holographic technology, 3D imagery and mind-blowing eye candy has resulted in the device you see above. Hailed as a 3D display system designed “especially for high profile brands in a competitive retail environment,” this box possesses the innate ability to “mix free-floating animation and video images with physical objects.” We can only imagine how lovely this would be if removed from that chamber and utilized as a tabletop HDTV, for instance, but until the company works that idea into its product line, have a look at the current incarnation (in video, no less) after the break.
